Mackenzie is a Masters student completing her Masters in Marine Science and Management at the University of Sydney. Mackenzie and her supervisor Kevin Davies, are researching the relationship between the potential impacts of sea-level rise on blue carbon storage within mangrove ecosystems. Specifically, they are interested in looking at mangrove ecosystems within the Hawkesbury river catchment in NSW by using various GIS and remote sensing techniques to answer their research questions.
