Samantha is a marine geologist and academic developer, and enthusiastic about learning and teaching. She is currently a Lecturer in Academic Development and Leadership in the Educational Innovation Team, DVC(E) Portfolio at the University of Sydney and an Honorary Associate Researcher in the School of Geosciences at the University of Sydney.
Samantha’s primary research focuses on the study of submarine landslides and their associated coastal hazards (such as tsunami), marine and fluvial geomorphology, and riverbank failures, as well as statistical thinking and cognitive load in foundational statistics and data science courses.
