Check this article recently published in Marine Policy:

Media representations of risk: The reporting of dredge spoil disposal in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park at Abbot Point, Lankester et al., 2015.

They discuss how the media have treated the issue of the dredge spoil disposal in the GBR. The figures towards the end made me think on how little scientists have been represented in the media on this issue in the last couple of years… makes me wonder… as scientists, what impact are we having in our country’s’/region’s/city’s current issues?
