A new book on “Coastal Storms: Processes and Impacts” has been published by Wiley. The book editors are Paolo Ciavola and Giovanni Coco; this book is a timely contribution on the effects that storms have in coastal environments. It features chapters in many types of coastal environments and addresses topics such as coastal change, hydrodynamics, and, sediment transport. GRG’s Ana Vila-Concejo and Paul Kench from the University of Auckland are the authors of Chapter 7, Storms in Coral Reefs.
This book represents a timely contribution; we need to understand the impacts of storms if we want to manage coastal storms with climate change.
I am looking forward to reading the entire book!
