Today we publish the work on gender equity that we have been working on during the last two and a bit years. It is highly rewarding to share it with you.
Most of my friends and colleagues know that I defend equity and I am a determined feminist, that is why I am so happy today. With a group of 12 wonderful women, from the network Women in Coastal Geoscience and Engineering, we analysed the results of a global survey and investigated the composition of committees of journal, conferences, and societies.
We identified problems but, most importantly, we also identified 12 steps that we all can take towards gender equity!
The paper is open access in Palgrave Communications, a social sciences Nature journal. Feel free to share it!
