We are busy at the GRG organising the first Australia-Japan meeting on the geomorphology of coral reefs – JASAG. We are organising it with a consortium of Japanese researchers led by Professors Hironobu Kan and Kazuhiko Fujita.

The meeting is on Friday the 22nd of September at The University of Sydney and will comprise a consortium of Japanese representatives from different universities. The objectives are to establish new scientific collaborations and consolidate existing ones within the field of coral reef geomorphology, including hydrodynamics, morphodynamics, and, recent geology.
